StratoDart

A family of high-speed demonstrators developed to mature FAST's ramjet technology in flight. SD-1 is its first member.

A demonstrator family

From ground-tested propulsion to flight evidence.

StratoDart is FAST's family of flight demonstrators for progressively maturing high-speed technologies through real-world evidence. SD-1 is its first member.

Crossbow validates the liquid-kerosene ramjet on the ground. SD-1 carries that hardware into the high-speed flight environment for which it was developed, allowing FAST to learn from the interaction of propulsion, aerodynamics, guidance, thermal effects, and system integration.

Defensive relevance

Building capability for future air defense.

Flight evidence generated through StratoDart can strengthen FAST's contribution to collaborative air-defense programs while also building the technological foundation for future FAST-led systems. The same work matures propulsion, aerodynamics, guidance, thermal management, and system integration under demanding high-speed conditions.
